Unity Cosmetics

Ingredient information

Euxyl-free

Euxyl is a preservative that can cause irritation on sensitive skin. We don't use it.

What is it?

Euxyl (specifically Euxyl K 400, a combination of phenoxyethanol and methyldibromo glutaronitrile) was widely used as a preservative in cosmetics. Methyldibromo glutaronitrile has since been banned in the EU because of its high risk of contact allergy.

Why do we exclude it?

Although the problematic variant has since been banned, we avoid all Euxyl variants to guarantee maximum safety for people with sensitive skin.

What do we use instead?

We use alternative preservatives that are effective without the risk of skin irritation.

Safe for you

Not a single Unity Cosmetics product contains Euxyl or related preservatives.
