Concealer is essential for disguising dark circles, redness and imperfections. With the right technique, you achieve a fresh, natural result without it looking mask-like.

Where do you apply concealer?

The most common places are under the eyes (for dark circles), around the nose (for redness) and on any blemishes. You can also use concealer to highlight your brows.

The right shade

For under the eyes: choose a shade half a tone lighter than your foundation. For covering redness: choose a shade that matches your skin tone exactly.

Application technique

Apply the concealer in an inverted triangle under your eye. Tap it in gently with your ring finger (which exerts the least pressure) or a small sponge. Never rub, always tap.

Setting

Set your concealer with a tiny amount of translucent powder to prevent it from creasing. Use a fluffy brush and apply the powder with light, rolling movements.
